Flu-like Illnesses and Acute Respiratory Infections
In hospitals, the number of emergency department visits for flu-like illness decreased across all age groups for the eighth consecutive week.
In private practice, the number of SOS Médecins calls for flu-like symptoms remained generally stable (with the exception of a slight increase among those under 15), following seven consecutive weeks of decline.
Acute Gastroenteritis (AGE)
Increase in emergency department visits and visits followed by hospitalization for AGE across all age groups; 81% of AGE-related emergency department visits involved children under 15, and 61% involved children under 5.
Stabilization in the number of AGE-related visits at SOS Médecins among those over 15 and an increase among children under 15.
Stabilization of the incidence rate for acute diarrhea consultations among sentinel physicians.
In S12, activity in emergency departments and at SOS Médecins for acute diarrhea remained at a high level and exceeded the trends from 2024 during the same period of the year. The 2025 rates are the highest for the 2022–2025 period.
COVID-19
SOS Médecins: In Week 12, the number of cases for suspected COVID-19 increased across all age groups. However, case numbers remained low.
Emergency room visits: In S12, the number of visits for suspected COVID-19 increased across all age groups.
SARS-CoV-2 in wastewater: Detection levels in wastewater continued to rise in S12, though the situation remained inconsistent. The overall intensity of viral circulation remained low.
