Key Highlights
The peak of the flu epidemic was reached in week 7, and a decline in consultations for flu-like illness is observed in mainland France and in Lorraine.
Both nationally and regionally, influenza activity remains low this season compared to the 2012–2013 winter season. The circulating influenza viruses are type A.
Among the respiratory viruses circulating in Lorraine since early March, the influenza virus has overtaken RSV.
Although less intense, bronchiolitis activity persists in Lorraine.
Gastroenteritis activity in Lorraine remains steady. Rotavirus remains one of the main circulating enteric viruses in recent weeks.
Despite the arrival of warmer weather and the start of flowering, no increase in the number of asthma and allergy diagnoses was observed in weeks 10 and 11, according to data from the SOS Médecins Meurthe-et-Moselle association and Lorraine’s emergency services.
According to the National Aerobiological Surveillance Network, the only department in Lorraine currently at moderate allergy risk is the Vosges department.
