Epidemiological Surveillance in the Alsace Region. Update as of October 1, 2015.
Highlights
In week 39, allergy-related activity at the SOS Médecins Strasbourg association remained stable compared to the previous week. The association’s doctors made 29 diagnoses, representing less than 2% of the total number of diagnoses. As for the SOS Médecins Mulhouse association, the number of allergy diagnoses was 12, or 1.5% of the total diagnoses. These figures remain within the usual range of fluctuations.
After a peak in week 37, asthma-related activity at both the SOS Médecins Strasbourg and Mulhouse associations remained stable in weeks 38 and 39. In week 39, doctors from the Mulhouse association made 18 diagnoses, representing 2.3% of the total diagnoses. For the Strasbourg association, the number of diagnoses was 8, representing 0.5% of the total diagnoses.
According to the National Aerobiological Surveillance Network (RNSA), the allergy risk associated with grass pollen is currently zero in both Alsatian departments.
Based on available data, no unusual increase in mortality has been observed in Alsace over the past few weeks. Since the time lag for reporting death data exceeds 7 days, data for week 39 is currently being consolidated.
