COVID-19

  • Number of confirmed cases remains high

  • Increase in testing activity, particularly among asymptomatic individuals (+39%)

  • New hospitalizations and ICU admissions remain at a high level

  • Most affected regions: Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, Grand Est, Hauts-de-France, Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur

In Week 52:

  • SOS Médecins: Low activity, stable compared to Week 51.

  • Hospital emergency departments (Oscour®): Low activity, down compared to Week 51.

  • Laboratory data (SIDEP®): Number of tests performed up, positivity rate down (3.2% vs. 5.3% in Week 51).

  • COVID outbreaks in long-term care facilities: 49 reported outbreaks compared to 34 in Week 51.

  • Hospital data: 262 new hospitalizations, down from the previous week (317 in Week 51).

  • Since November 3, all departments in the Centre-Val de Loire region have been classified as having a “high” vulnerability level.

Winter epidemics

  • Bronchiolitis: low activity.

  • Gastroenteritis: in week 52, activity was stable at SOS Médecins and on the rise in hospital emergency departments.

All-cause mortality

Significant excess mortality from all causes across all age groups since week 44, particularly pronounced among those aged 65 and older.
