HIV serology rate: 91 per 1,000 inhabitants in 2024, rising steadily since 2015
SNDS: 68.5 per 1,000 inhabitants in 2024, continuing to rise, but below the national average outside the Île-de-France region (82 per 1,000)
Higher screening rates among 25–49-year-olds (women and men).
New HIV diagnoses
126 crude cases in 2024, 143 adjusted (for underreporting, missing data, and reporting delays) [123–163], or 55.3 per million inhabitants (higher than the national level excluding Île-de-France: 46.1)
Cisgender men and those aged 25–49 constitute the majority
The proportion of early diagnoses is estimated at 33%, a level slightly higher than that observed in mainland France excluding Île-de-France.
Late diagnoses remain common, as at the national level.
Incidence and Undiagnosed Population
The number of new infections (diagnosed or undiagnosed, excluding infections prior to arrival in France) is estimated at 100 in 2024 [95% CI: 75–128],
The number of people living with HIV without knowing their HIV status is estimated at 266 in 2024.

Screening
Continuous increase since 2018, with the highest rates among women aged 15–25, followed by those aged 26–49
The Centre-Val de Loire region is among those with the lowest screening rates.
Diagnoses:
Increase since 2019 (due to the combination of Ct/Ng NAATs (nucleic acid amplification tests)).
Highest rates among men and women aged 15–25

80% with heterosexual intercourse in the past 12 months
Gonococcal infections
Screening
Steady increase since 2018, with the highest rates among women aged 15–25 and 26–49
Diagnoses
Continuing rise, highest levels among women and men aged 15–25 and men aged 26–49

85% men,
Mostly aged 26–49,
high proportion of sex between men (59%)
