From September 8, 2023, to September 11, 2023, the region’s six departments are under an orange alert.

  • Oscour® network emergency facilities:

    • No increase in total visits to Oscour network emergency facilities throughout the entire episode, except for a slight rise in activity among those under 15. The same applies to hospitalizations following emergency room visits.

    • The increases in emergency room visits due to the heatwave began as soon as the first yellow alerts were issued on September 4, 2023.

    • Activity during the heatwave period (between September 8, 2023, and September 11, 2023) was higher compared to the two preceding weeks (the reference period selected by excluding the previous heatwave episode).

    • Between September 8, 2023, and September 11, 2023 (orange alert period), the activity rate for iCanicule remained relatively low (below 0.5%) with a peak in visits on September 9 (9 emergency room visits due to iCanicule).

  • SOS Médecins associations:

    • No increase in SOS Médecins visits throughout the entire episode, except for a slight rise in activity among those under 15.

    • The increase in SOS Médecins cases related to iCanicule began as soon as the first yellow alert was issued on September 4, 2023.

    • Activity during the heatwave period (between September 8, 2023, and September 11, 2023) was higher compared to the two preceding weeks (the reference period chosen, excluding the previous heatwave episode).
