Surveillance of Occupational Diseases in Franche-Comté: 2011 Results
The MCP program relies on a network of volunteer occupational physicians who commit to reporting, during two two-week campaigns held throughout the year—known as "MCP Fortnights"—any illness they believe, based on their knowledge of the workplace, to be work-related. These illnesses have either not been reported or have not been recognized by an occupational disease compensation scheme at the time of reporting. In 2011, the Franche-Comté region participated in this program for the fifth consecutive year. Data from all regions are aggregated at the national level to produce national indicators. The results contribute to improving knowledge of occupational risks and guiding decision-makers; various national decision-making bodies (the Advisory Council on Working Conditions (COCT), the Diricq Commission, etc.) make extensive use of them.
