Key Points
Hepatitis A: Following the outbreak that affected the region in 2017, the incidence rate has been declining for the second consecutive year. In 2019, there were 176 cases, representing an incidence rate of 2.2 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
Invasive Meningococcal Disease (IMD): The regional incidence rate has been declining since 2017. In 2019, 42 cases were reported, representing an incidence rate of 0.5 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. Serogroup B was the most common.
Legionellosis: Following 2018, a year of a sharp increase in cases, the regional incidence rate declined in 2019 but remains higher than the average observed between 2010 and 2017. In 2019, 295 cases of Legionnaires’ disease were reported in the region, representing an incidence rate of 3.7 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
Measles: The incidence rate has been rising slightly since 2017, following a period of very low incidence between 2012 and 2016 that followed the 2008–2011 epidemic. In 2019, 222 cases were recorded, representing an incidence rate of 2.8 per 100,000 inhabitants.
Outbreaks of Foodborne Illness (FBI): The number of reported outbreaks increased in 2019. In 2019, 269 FBI outbreaks were reported in the region, representing 3.4 outbreaks per 100,000 inhabitants.
Tuberculosis: The regional incidence rate has remained generally stable in recent years. In 2019, there were 480 cases, representing an incidence rate of 6 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
