Key Points

HIV Infections and AIDS

  • HIV Surveillance:

    • Participation in LaboVIH: comprehensive Since 2020, laboratory participation in the LaboVIH survey has remained comprehensive.

    • Mandatory reporting (MR): declining The completeness of reporting by laboratory technicians has declined compared to 2022, with an overall rate of 69%, which is relatively similar to what is observed in mainland France.

  • AIDS diagnosis (DO): stability

In Martinique, the number of AIDS diagnoses remained stable over the 2014–2023 period.

Prevention

  • “Mon test IST” has supplemented and replaced “VIHTest” since September 2024. In fact, in addition to HIV, the screening includes the following infections: Chlamydia trachomatis, gonorrhea, syphilis, and hepatitis B (depending on vaccination status). These screenings are performed at no cost regardless of age for HIV and subject to being 26 years of age or older for other STIs.
