Guide to Indoor Air Quality Management in Public Facilities
Indoor air quality (IAQ) is a growing concern for the public. Poor indoor air quality can have adverse health effects. As the manager of a public facility, you may be confronted with concerns from people who visit your facility or be asked to conduct indoor air quality measurements there. This guide, developed by the Ministry of Health with the support of a multidisciplinary working group, offers practical assistance in addressing this issue. It provides the essential tools for identifying, assessing, and managing most indoor air quality problems. To provide a quick overview of the subject, the guide is divided into two parts, with the first part designed to be read independently of the second. The first part is primarily intended for facility managers: it briefly outlines the various steps involved in managing indoor air quality within a public-access facility. The second part, which is more detailed and technical, serves as a comprehensive toolkit addressing the technical and operational requirements necessary for managing indoor air quality within the facility. It is specifically intended for technical managers responsible for day-to-day indoor air quality management. (R.A.)
