Promoting physical activity while reducing sedentary behavior is a major public health challenge, given that a significant proportion of young people do not meet the recommendations for physical activity.
To support the implementation of projects promoting physical activity across the country, Santé publique France draws on the Icaps study (Intervention with middle school students focused on physical activity and sedentary behavior).
As part of its missions to advance health promotion and training, Santé publique France supports stakeholders seeking to implement Icaps-style projects. Designed with this in mind, the MOOC "Promoting Physical Activity and Reducing Sedentary Behavior Among Young People" was taken by more than 2,000 people between the 2015 and 2016 sessions.
