Factors Influencing Influenza Vaccination Among Staff at Two French Hospitals in 2004
Flu vaccination is recommended for vulnerable individuals and, since 1999 in France, for healthcare workers to protect patients, as staff can play a significant role in the spread of the disease. Worldwide, flu vaccination coverage among hospital staff remains low. In France, it stands at around 15%. The determinants of this vaccination have been studied in Anglo-Saxon and European countries but remain poorly understood in France. Understanding these determinants among French hospital staff is crucial for adapting vaccination promotion strategies to improve influenza vaccination coverage. The objective of this survey was to identify the determinants of influenza vaccination among staff at two French hospitals in order to provide recommendations to occupational physicians for future campaigns.
