As an employer, what should you do?

Vaccination is the most effective preventive measure against many infectious diseases because it helps prevent or limit numerous outbreaks (e.g., COVID-19, flu, measles, etc.). The WHO estimates that 3.5 to 5 million lives are saved each year thanks to this simple act.

When you get vaccinated, you protect yourself and also protect those who cannot be vaccinated or for whom vaccination is less effective and who are particularly vulnerable (people with underlying health conditions, pregnant women, infants, etc.).

Certain employees are subject to vaccination requirements because their profession (e.g., healthcare workers, laboratory staff, first responders, early childhood and elder care professionals, etc.) exposes them to significant infection risks.

Other occupations (such as travel industry professionals or slaughterhouse workers) may be subject to vaccination recommendations.
Beyond occupational recommendations, it is also important to keep your vaccinations up to date and to get vaccinated when exposed to a specific risk (pregnant or breastfeeding women, travelers, people with chronic illnesses, etc.).
