In France, in 2018, the estimated number of new cases of papillary thyroid cancer was 9,770, including 2,268 in men (87.2% of all thyroid cancers) and 7,502 in women (93% of all thyroid cancers). Key points: Standardized 5-year net survival of 100% among women diagnosed between 2010 and 2015, and 96% among men; Very high net survival regardless of age in women and up to age 80 in men;  Increase in net survival with the year of diagnosis in people aged 70 and 80 at the time of diagnosis; High long-term net survival in people aged 60 or younger.
