In France, for the year 2018, the estimated number of new cases of Burkitt lymphoma/leukemia was 220, including 149 in men and 71 in women. Following the publication of incidence data for Burkitt lymphoma/leukemia in 2019, survival estimates are presented for the first time for this condition in France. Key points: A cancer with an intermediate prognosis, with a 1-year age-standardized net survival of 73% and a 5-year survival of 68% for individuals diagnosed between 2010 and 2015; A very marked decrease in net survival at 1 year depending on age at diagnosis: from 89% at age 20 to 28% at age 80; For each age group, net survival remains stable after 1 year of follow-up and up to 5 years; Very high excess mortality among individuals aged 70 and 80 during the first year of follow-up, followed by very low excess mortality thereafter.
