Public Health France 2018 Barometer: Methodology
The Santé publique France Barometer (formerly known as the "Health Barometer") is a system of periodic surveys established in 1992 by the French Committee for Health Education, initially continued by the National Institute for Prevention and Health Education (INPES), and now by Santé publique France. For more than twenty-five years, these epidemiological surveillance surveys have made it possible to track the main behaviors, attitudes, and perceptions of the population residing in France regarding their health. These surveys also enable the study of factors associated with—or even determinants of—health behaviors. As such, they are very useful tools for the implementation of public health initiatives by government authorities, as well as for their evaluation. This document describes the methodology used for the 2018 edition of the Barometer survey.
