Key Points

In Week 27 (June 29–July 5, 2026), activity at SOS Médecins clinics was down compared to the previous week among children aged 2–14 (-6%, or -1,407 visits) and remained stable in other age groups.

Most indicators related to the heat waves of recent weeks were down and returned to levels comparable to previous years. However, cases of dizziness and dehydration among adults remained at the high levels seen in previous years. Cases involving fever alone, meanwhile, were on the rise among children aged 2–14 (+22%, or +155 cases) and among adults aged 15–74 (+16%, or +38 cases), reaching levels comparable to previous years.

Visits for digestive disorders were on the rise among children and adults:

  • acute abdominal pain across all age groups (+10%, or +172 cases) and various digestive symptoms among adults (+23%, or +259 cases);
  • gastroenteritis among children, particularly those under 2 years of age (+11%, or +36 cases), at a level slightly higher than in previous years.

Among adults, there was also an increase in procedures for:

  • upper respiratory tract conditions among those aged 15–74 (+7%, or +665 cases) and among those aged 75 and older (+25%, or +47 cases);
  • urinary tract infections among those aged 15–74 (+10%, or +158 cases) and among those aged 75 and older (+28%, or +62 cases);
  • anxiety (+10%, or +153 procedures) and depression (+19%, or +56 procedures), at levels slightly higher than in previous years.

Among children, there was an increase in procedures for dental/ENT conditions among those under 2 years of age (+38%, or +34 procedures).
