Sustainable development and health inequalities: a matter of solidarity.

Luc Ginot, a public health physician in Aubervilliers, Seine-Saint-Denis, explains why sustainable development can be a mirage if three conditions are not met: involving the most disadvantaged residents in the process, addressing their concerns, and taking into account the real impact of decisions on their living conditions. Municipalities are not on equal footing when it comes to sustainable development; only national solidarity can combine sustainable development with the reduction of health inequalities.
