Moonlight: Sexual Orientation and First-Time Experiences Among Young Adults [Cinésanté].

Winner of the Best Picture award at the 2017 Oscars, the film *Moonlight* can serve as a tool for dialogue with teenagers to address issues of sexual orientation and first sexual experiences. The director has chosen a restrained approach, focusing on the complex personality of Chiron, a young gay man who is bullied and tormented by the fear of taking the step toward physical intimacy. The film may also be of interest to health educators for many other reasons, such as drug use and trafficking, parent-child relationships, communication difficulties among peers, bullying, and the importance of role models during adolescence.
