Key Points
In Week 10 (March 2–8, 2026), coinciding with the start of the school year in Zone B, activity at SOS Médecins clinics increased among children aged 2–14 (+11%, or 1,894 visits). It decreased among children under 2 years old (-7%, or 418 fewer visits) and those aged 75 and older (-6%, or 437 fewer visits), and remained stable among those aged 15–74.
The increase in medical procedures for trauma continued among children (+33%, or 209 more procedures compared to the previous week). Consultations for anxiety were also on the rise among those under 15 (55 cases vs. 22 in Week 9) and among those aged 15–44 (+7%, or +74 cases). Both of these indicators remained higher than the levels observed in previous years among children and adults.
Visits for allergies rose sharply among 2- to 14-year-olds (+40%, or 162 more visits) and 15- to 74-year-olds (+48%, or 498 more visits), reaching levels higher than in previous years during the same period. There was also an increase in visits for asthma attacks in these two age groups (respectively +23%, or +60 visits, and +9%, or +51 visits), for upper respiratory tract conditions among 2- to 14-year-olds (+6%, or +414 visits), and for pneumonia among 15- to 74-year-olds (+8%, or +37 visits).
Procedures for vomiting and gastroenteritis increased among those under 15 (25% increase, or 56 more procedures, and 24% increase, or 506 more procedures) and among those aged 15–74 (21% increase, or 55 more procedures, and 6% increase, or 272 more procedures). Visits for acute abdominal pain also increased among those aged 2–14 (+31%, or +112 visits).
Finally, there was an increase in visits for isolated fever among children, particularly those under 2 years of age (+25%, or 46 visits), and for infectious conjunctivitis among those aged 2–14 (+6%, or 26 visits) and those aged 15–74 (+9%, or 41 visits). Visits for general malaise among those aged 15 and older (+14%, or +32 visits) and for falls among those aged 75 and older (+10%, or +22 visits) showed a slight increase.
