The National Suicide Prevention Observatory will provide the foundation for a genuine prevention policy [Interview].

In 1993, Professor Michel Debout submitted a landmark report on suicide to the Economic and Social Council; it was the first official report on the subject issued by the French government. Twenty years later, La Santé en action takes stock of suicide prevention in France with one of its most active pioneers. In this interview, Professor Michel Debout discusses, in particular, the creation and work of the National Suicide Observatory, established in late 2013.
