Key Points

  • Continued increase in vaccination uptake among infants born since January 1, 2018, for whom the expanded vaccination requirement applies:

    • +4.1 percentage points for the use of the hexavalent vaccine in Guadeloupe (cohort of children born in 2020: 99.7%); in Martinique: data not interpretable;

    • - 0.6 percentage points for vaccination coverage of the first dose of the pneumococcal vaccine in Guadeloupe (cohort of children born in 2020: 98.6%); in Martinique: data not interpretable;

    • +15.4 percentage points in vaccination coverage for the first dose of the meningococcal C vaccine (cohort of children born in 2020: 76.7%) versus +24.8 percentage points in Martinique (cohort of children born in 2020: 70.0%);

  • Increase in vaccination coverage among children born before the law took effect

    • + 2.8 percentage points in vaccination coverage for the first dose of the HPV vaccine among 15-year-old girls born in 2005 (24.0%) compared to girls born in 2004 (21.1%) in Guadeloupe;

    • +2.6 percentage points in vaccination coverage for the first dose of the HPV vaccine among 15-year-old girls born in 2005 (14.2%) compared to girls born in 2004 (11.6%) in Martinique;

    • Increase in catch-up vaccination coverage for meningococcal C in all age groups;

  • Increase in influenza vaccination coverage

    • +4.6 percentage points among people aged 65 and older in Guadeloupe and +1.9 percentage points in Martinique.
