A community health program for transgender people

Transgender people, who face significant stigma, have limited access to healthcare. They encounter prejudice and, in some cases, are denied medical care. A collective, founded in 2014 by a physician and mental health practitioners, puts into practice the ethical principle that patients must be involved in their own care journey. Since 2016, four psychotherapists have been providing ongoing psychotherapeutic support for transgender people. And since spring 2017, general and gynecological consultations have been provided by two midwives and a doctor.
