Key points

Bronchiolitis

  • The activity of SOS Médecins associations related to bronchiolitis is declining and is below the levels observed during this period in the two previous seasons.

  • Emergency department activity remains stable and low. It is lower than that observed during the two previous seasons.

Flu

  • Flu-related activity for SOS Médecins and in emergency departments is at the same level as in previous seasons during the same period.

COVID-19

  • The number of consultations with SOS Médecins for suspected COVID-19 continues to decline, as does the share of activity (0.9% compared to 1.8% in S-1).

  • This trend is also observed in emergency department activity (0.5% compared to 0.7% in Week 1).

Acute Respiratory Infections

  • The majority of ARI episodes reported since Week 36 by long-term care facilities (LTCFs) were attributed exclusively to COVID-19: 114 out of the 133 reported episodes.

  • The number of new cases has been low since Week 42 (mid-October). One case involving a flu/COVID co-infection was also identified in Week 40. No cases attributed exclusively to the flu have been reported.
