Key Points
In Week 07 (February 14–20, 2022), total activity across all age groups at SOS Médecins clinics remained stable. By age group, there was a decrease among those aged 2–14, stability among those under 2 and those aged 15–74, and a slight increase among those aged 75 and older.
Procedures for suspected COVID-19 continued to decline among both children (-19%) and adults (-26%). In total, 1,538 procedures (vs. 2,294 in Week 6) were recorded across all age groups (a decrease of 33% vs. 37% in Week 6 and 22% in Week 5). Suspected COVID-19 ranks 8th among children and 9th among adults among the most common conditions. Procedures are stable or declining in all regions. Since monitoring began on March 3, 2020, 326,495 medical procedures for suspected COVID-19 have been performed.
Nearly all seasonal indicators are stable or declining, with the exception of an increase in procedures for influenza/influenza-like illness among children under 2 years of age (+16%, or +19 procedures) and among those aged 15–74 (+8%, or +121 procedures), as well as for bronchitis among those aged 15–74 (+13%, or +117 procedures). Procedures for trauma are on the rise among those aged 15 and older (+8%, or +123 procedures). Among the most common conditions, there was also an increase in procedures for chickenpox among children (+30%, or +91 procedures).
