In week 35 (August 26–September 1, 2019), total emergency department activity increased (+3.1%, or +10,806 visits), primarily among those aged 2–14 (+7.6%, or +3,660 visits) and those aged 15–74 (+3.2%, or +7,685 visits). Hospitalizations following emergency department visits remained stable across all age groups. Regarding the most common conditions, among those under 15, there is an upward trend for vomiting (+22%, or +172 visits), gastroenteritis (+9%, or +193 visits), allergies (+21%, or +145 visits), and skin infections (+13%, or +117 visits). Among those over 15, renal colic is on the rise (+8.2%, or +287 visits). For non-specific and seasonal indicators, visits for isolated fever among children under 2 years old (+12%, or +129 visits) and those over 75 years old (+13%, or +46 visits), malaise among 2- to 14-year-olds (+12%, or +43 visits), asthma among children under 2 years old (+29%, or 28 more visits), and allergies among children aged 2–14 (+22%, or 122 more visits) are on the rise.
