Key Points
In Week 25 (June 16–22, 2025), compared to the previous week, the number of emergency room visits and hospitalizations following those visits remained stable across all age groups.
In connection with the heat wave, there was an increase in visits for:
hyperthermia/heatstroke across all ages (+54%, or +165 visits), with numbers comparable to those observed in 2022 during the same period,
dehydration in adults (+28%, or +101 visits), particularly those aged 75 and older,
illness in children (+25%, or +206 visits), with a higher level than in the previous three years, and adults (+7%, or +869 visits),
isolated fever in children (+15%, or 557 more visits),
insect bites among 2- to 14-year-olds and adults (respectively +9% and +31%, or +35 and +239 visits),
allergies among 2- to 14-year-olds and 15- to 74-year-olds (up 7% and 15%, respectively, or 45 and 287 visits).
In addition, there was an increase in visits:
which continues for digestive symptoms: vomiting in all age groups (+8%, or +200 visits), gastroenteritis in children under 2 years old (+9%, or +102 visits), and abdominal pain in children aged 2–14 and adults aged 75 and older (+9%, or +263 and +148 visits, respectively),
among children, for ENT infections in those aged 2–14 (+12%, or 462 visits), chickenpox (+11%, or 42 visits), various skin conditions in children under 2 (+12%, or 40 visits), and skin/subcutaneous infections in those aged 2–14 (+11%, or 87 visits).
among those aged 75 and older, for asthma attacks (+43%, or +34 visits).
