Key Points
In Week 07 (February 10–16, 2025), emergency department visits and subsequent hospitalizations decreased among 2- to 14-year-olds (by 10% and 13%, respectively, or 9,757 visits and 249 hospitalizations) and remained stable compared to the previous week in other age groups.
Visits for influenza/influenza-like illness continued to decline across all age groups (-15%, or 1,947 fewer visits), with a more pronounced decrease among children aged 2–14. Despite this downward trend, the number of visits remains higher than in previous years, particularly among children.
Among other respiratory indicators, a stabilization is observed among adults, while the decline—excluding bronchiolitis—continues among children under 15, particularly among those aged 2–14.
Excluding respiratory conditions, a slight increase in visits for conjunctivitis is observed among those under 2 years of age and those 75 years of age or older (respectively +8% and +47%, or +16 and +19 visits). Visits for gastroenteritis are also on the rise among those aged 2–14 (+11%, or +211 visits).
Finally, regarding mental health, there was an increase in visits for suicidal behavior among those aged 45 and older (+10%, or +45 visits).
