e-DO is the app designed for the mandatory online reporting of HIV infection and AIDS. To log in: http://www.e-do.fr/

Features of the e-DO application

For reporters

The application allows users to enter and directly submit reports of HIV infection and AIDS to health authorities. Reporters have access to a "draft" feature that allows them to start their report and continue it within a 12-month period. The first step in the reporting process is to generate an anonymity code, which will be stored in the application for 12 months. No personally identifiable patient data is recorded. Reporters have access to submitted reports for 12 months.

For Regional Health Agencies (ARS) and the InVS

Reports submitted via the application are immediately available to the ARS and the InVS. Authorized staff at the ARS can view reports submitted by reporters practicing in their region for 12 months. In the event of missing information or inconsistencies in the submitted reports, communication between InVS epidemiologists and reporters takes place via e-DO.

"e-DO offers several very practical features"

How did your first login to the e-DO application go?

I already had a CPS card. Getting a card reader through the hospital’s IT department was fairly quick; I was then able to log in to the e-DO application without any trouble.

What are your impressions after your first online reports?

e-DO offers several very practical features: the app eliminates the need for paper forms, on which it was easy to make mistakes, particularly when copying the anonymity code. The speed of online reporting allows me to complete the DO forms in real time.

What are your suggestions regarding the use of e-DO?

Clinicians should be encouraged to register in the app as soon as possible. Until they are registered, their contact information must be entered manually for each report.
