In the "Practical Guidance" section, an overview is presented following a seminar held in June 1999, organized by the Interregional Directorate for Education and Health Promotion of the Central-West region, on the involvement of health education committees in regional health projects (PRS) addressing suicide. The objectives were to establish a network for exchange, to promote work on the concepts and approaches to primary suicide prevention, and to develop and analyze the committees’ practices.
