Key Points

Dengue

  • Over the past two weeks, dengue activity has resumed in the Savanes, Ile de Cayenne, and Littoral Ouest sectors. The number of confirmed cases is rising in these three sectors, and the number of emergency room visits for dengue was increasing at CHC and CHK, while remaining stable at CHOG.

  • The estimated number of suspected dengue cases has remained high over the past four weeks.

Malaria

  • The number of malaria cases has been declining over the past two weeks, with 21 P. vivax cases reported versus 47 in S46 and S47. The resurgence observed in St. Georges last month has not continued.

  • A total of 207 malaria cases have been recorded since the beginning of the year, 43% of which occurred in November.

Acute respiratory infections

  • A marked increase in primary care and stable at the hospital.

Bronchiolitis

  • The epidemic continues at a stable and high level.

Flu

  • Rising indicators: epidemic likely to begin soon.

COVID-19

  • Increased circulation.

Diarrhea

  • High epidemiological indicators in isolated municipalities, mainly in Camopi and Trois-Sauts, and moderate in coastal municipalities.
