Prevalence and sociodemographic factors associated with insomnia and sleep duration in France (ages 15–85). INPES 2010 Health Barometer Survey, France

Epidemiological understanding of insomnia and other sleep disorders has grown in recent years in France. The purpose of this study is to quantify sleep duration and the prevalence of chronic insomnia among the population aged 15–85, and to explore the factors associated with this condition. As part of the 2010 Health Barometer, a general population survey, 27,653 individuals aged 15–85 were interviewed about their health behaviors, particularly regarding their sleep habits.
