Key Points

COVID-19

  • A slight increase in the number of PCR tests, with 15,639 tests performed (+4.6% compared to Week 01, unconsolidated data), and a decrease in the number of antigen tests, with 7,610 antigen tests performed (-38.8% compared to Week 01, unconsolidated data).

  • A very sharp decline in the incidence rate (IR) is observed alongside a sharp decline in the testing rate (TR) and the positivity rate (PR).

  • Omicron remains ubiquitous according to data from flash surveys. Sequencing from the flash survey conducted in Week 52 in Brittany, although not representative of viral circulation, identifies the BA.5* lineage in 93% of cases. The BA.2* lineage accounts for 4% of sequences, the BA.4* lineage for 1%, and 2% are recombinants. The BQ.1.1* sublineage accounts for 78% of interpretable sequences.

Bronchiolitis

  • Post-epidemic activity, declining phase.

  • Downward trend in all monitored indicators.

Influenza and influenza-like illnesses

  • Epidemic activity, declining phase.

  • Continued decline in all monitored indicators.

  • Influenza B virus continues to be detected, according to data from the virology laboratories at Rennes University Hospital and Brest University Hospital.

Acute gastroenteritis

  • High activity. Increase in SOS Médecins consultations for gastroenteritis in children.
