From June 15, 2022, to June 21, 2022, amid high temperatures, Météo-France placed up to 10 departments in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes under an orange alert (Ain, Allier, Ardèche, Cantal, Drôme, Isère, Loire, Haute-Loire, Puy-de-Dôme, and Rhône, representing 84.5% of the region’s resident population) and two departments under a yellow alert (Savoie and Haute-Savoie, representing 15.5% of the region’s resident population).
