The Ebola Outbreak in Guinea: Anthropology in a Public Health Crisis.

In Guinea, in response to the Ebola outbreak, anthropologists worked alongside medical personnel to address mistrust stemming from rumors and a lack of confidence in the authorities, taking into account the specific socio-historical, political, and cultural contexts of the affected areas. In many cases, anthropologists served as mediators, successfully calming the situation and fostering a sense of community solidarity.
