Key Points
This trend is primarily driven by respiratory conditions, which continue to rise:
Procedures for influenza and flu-like illness continue to rise among those aged 2–14 and 15–74 (up 20% and 35%, respectively, or 108 and 682 procedures).
Procedures for upper respiratory tract conditions as well as suspected COVID-19 infections are increasing across all age groups, though at a less pronounced rate than the previous week (respectively +15%, or +3,508 procedures, and +32%, or +529 procedures).
Bronchiolitis: continues to rise but at a low rate among children under 2 years of age (+6%, or +8 cases), and at a slower pace than the previous week.
Treatments for pneumonia are increasing among those aged 75 and older (+9%, or +22 cases), and treatments for asthma attacks are rising among those aged 15–74 (+31%, or +143 cases), though at a less pronounced rate than the previous week.
Among other conditions, the following increases in procedures are noted:
Among children and adults: infectious conjunctivitis in those under 2 years of age and those aged 15–74 (up 47% and 9%, respectively, or 47 and 30 procedures) and insect bites in those under 15 and those aged 75 and older (up 17%, or 42 procedures);
Among children: viral syndrome in those aged 2–14 (+7%, or +25 visits);
Among adults for malaise (+11%, or +23 visits), isolated fever among those aged 15–74 (+13%, or +26 visits), vomiting among those aged 75 and older (+33%, or +13 visits), and regarding mental health for anxiety among those aged 45–64 (+7%, or +19 visits) and depressive episodes among those aged 65 and older (+39%, or +9 visits).
