Overall Activity Trends: Over the past week, overall activity at community organizations has declined by 20% among children aged 2 to 14, while remaining stable for other age groups. Patient volume (53,809 weekly visits across all age groups) is once again close to the levels seen in 2012 and 2013 for this time of year.
Trends in Major ConditionsThe conditions most frequently seen in consultations are declining among children under 15 and remain stable among adults. The main reasons for seeking care are ENT conditions and bronchitis across all age groups, as well as gastroenteritis among children under 15.
Trends in seasonal indicators After an initial decline in week 42, the number of consultations for gastroenteritis is decreasing among children under 15 years of age (-15%, or -122 visits among those under 5; -29%, or -175 visits among those aged 5–14), while remaining stable among adults. With 3,101 weekly visits across all age groups, the numbers are returning to levels similar to those seen in 2012 and 2013. At the regional level, the number of consultations for this indicator is declining everywhere, though figures remain higher than in previous years in the Basse-Normandie region and, to a lesser extent, in the Pays de Loire region. Visits for bronchitis, pneumonia, influenza/flu-like illness, and asthma are generally declining among children under 15, stable among adults under 75, and rising among adults over 75, though at moderate levels. The seasonal trends observed for these indicators are similar across all regions and close to those of 2012 and 2013. Consultations for isolated fever are up 15% among adults under 75 but are stable among adults over 75 and declining among children under 15, with numbers lower than those in 2012 and 2013.Visits for bronchiolitis among children under 2 years of age have remained stable over the past week, within expected seasonal ranges.
