Key Points
In week 41 (October 7–13, 2024), activity at SOS Médecins clinics remained stable across all age groups.
Key respiratory indicators are down compared to the previous week across all age groups for influenza/flu-like illness (-14%), suspected COVID-19 (-23%), as well as, among adults over 15 years of age, for asthma attacks (-14%), upper respiratory tract conditions (-5.5%), and acute bronchitis (-6%).
Among children, the number of cases remains stable for asthma attacks, upper respiratory tract conditions, acute bronchitis, and bronchiolitis in children under 2 years of age.
Procedures for pertussis also continued to decline across all age groups.
Among other indicators, there is an increase in procedures:
which continues among children under 2 years of age for conjunctivitis (+20%, or +138 procedures), while they have stabilized among 2- to 14-year-olds,
for trauma among 2- to 14-year-olds (+9%, or +54 visits) and 15- to 74-year-olds (+6%, or +114 visits),
for isolated fever (+13%, or +99 visits) and among adults for malaise (+14%, or +29 visits) and vomiting (+7%, or +22 visits),
for anxiety among those aged 45–64 (+26%, or +62 visits).
