Key Points
In week 46 (November 10–16, 2025), activity at SOS Médecins clinics increased compared to the previous week among children (+28%, or 6,785 visits) and among those aged 75 and older (+9%, or 582 visits). It remained stable among those aged 15–74.
Among children and adults, there was an increase in respiratory indicators. Their respective shares of total activity at SOS Médecins associations nevertheless remained at the levels of previous years. There was thus an increase in calls for:
asthma attacks among children (+91%, or 368 cases) and adults (+18%, or 97 cases);
upper respiratory tract conditions in children (+43%, or +4,541 cases) and those aged 15–74 (+7%, or +801 cases);
coughs in children (+66%, or +2,369 visits) and those aged 75 and older (+7%, or +41 visits);
acute bronchitis in children (+80%, or +612 visits) and those aged 15–74 (+8%, or +163 visits);
influenza/flu-like illness in children (+43%, or +293 visits) and adults (+9%, or +206 visits);
pneumonia in children (+73%, or +127 cases) and those aged 75 and older (+8%, or 25 cases);
bronchiolitis in children under 1 year of age (+56%, or +151 cases).
The number of cases of gastroenteritis also increased among children, particularly those under 2 years of age (+10%, or +42 cases), and among those aged 75 and older (+18%, or +21 cases).
Among children, there was also an increase in procedures for infectious conjunctivitis (+22%, or +116 procedures) and viral syndrome (+30%, or +143 procedures), as well as for stomatological conditions and trauma among those aged 2–14 (respectively +23%, or +82 procedures, and +8%, or +60 procedures).
Among adults, visits increased for isolated fever (+8%, or +22 visits), urinary tract infections among those aged 15–74 (+11%, or +211 visits), as well as for anxiety (+24%, or +44 visits) and depressive states (+15%, or +16 visits) among those aged 65 and older.
Finally, among those aged 75 and older, there was an increase in procedures for heart failure (+23%, or +36 procedures), deterioration in general health (+21%, or +55 procedures), and death (+24%, or +75 procedures). Their respective shares of total activity, however, remained at the same level as in previous years.
