Key Points
In Week 12 (March 17–23, 2025), compared to the previous week, activity at SOS Médecins clinics remained generally stable, with the exception of a slight increase in visits by children aged 2–14 (+5%, or 947 visits).
Consultations for upper respiratory tract infections are on the rise among children (+9%, or +1,094 cases) and among those aged 75 and older (+12%, or +35 cases). Consultations for allergies are also increasing among children (+22%, or +97 cases) and among those aged 15–74 (+7%, or +71 cases). Among children, there has been an increase in cases involving asthma attacks (+24%, or +110 cases) as well as bronchitis and coughs among those aged 2–14 (respectively +6% and +10%, or +41 and +331 cases).
We also note a slight increase in cases of vomiting among children (+5%, or +15 cases) and a continued rise in cases of trauma (+9%, or +65 cases). An increase in cases of scarlet fever was observed this week among 2- to 14-year-olds (+31%, or +25 cases).
Among other indicators related to infectious diseases, there is an upward trend in cases of isolated fever among children (+7%, or +34 cases) and among those aged 15–74 (+10%, or +21 cases). A similar trend in consultations is observed for viral syndrome among children (+9%, or +39 visits) and among those aged 15–74 (+11%, or +50 visits). At the same time, there was an increase in cases for suspected COVID-19 among 2- to 14-year-olds (41 cases vs. 16 cases in S11) and among adults (+43%, or +53 cases), though the numbers remain low.
Finally, there was an increase in consultations for depressive disorders among adults (+16%, or 39 more visits) and for anxiety among those aged 65 and older (+8%, or 15 more visits).
