Key Points
In Week 09 (February 23 to March 1), activity at SOS Médecins clinics continued to decline among children (-10%, or 2,650 fewer visits) and remained stable among adults compared to the previous week.
Compared to the previous week, trauma-related procedures increased for both children (+39%, or +179 procedures) and adults (+11%, or +253 procedures), reaching levels higher than in previous years.
Also noteworthy is the increase in cases for:
chickenpox among children under 2 years of age (+29%, or +41 cases) and those aged 15–74 (+44%, or +14 cases);
allergies in children aged 2–14 (+46%, or +128 cases);
digestive disorders: acute abdominal pain among 2- to 14-year-olds (+9%, or +30 visits) and those aged 75 and older (+12%, or +19 visits), as well as vomiting in the latter age group (+37%, or +18 visits);
Isolated fever in children under 2 years of age (+9%, or +15 visits) and those aged 75 and older (+22%, or +13 visits);
Low back pain/sciatica (+20%, or +54 visits) and general malaise (+20%, or +51 visits) among those aged 75 and older.
Furthermore, procedures for anxiety are slightly up among those aged 15–64, at levels higher than those of the previous three years.
Respiratory indicators are all down compared to the previous week.
