Key Points
In Week 25 (June 16–22, 2025), compared to the previous week, SOS Médecins’ activity declined among children under 2 years of age (-10%, or 560 fewer cases) and adults aged 15–74 (-7%, or 4,106 fewer cases), and remained stable in other age groups.
In connection with the heat wave, there was an increase in heatstroke cases across all age groups (+101%, or +200 cases), with numbers reaching levels already observed in 2022 during this period.
There was also an increase in cases of isolated fever among children under 15 (+18%, or +155 cases), malaise among those aged 2–14 (+83%, or +10 cases), among adults for dehydration (+83%, or +55 cases), and among those aged 15–74 for insect bites (+22%, or +169 cases).
In addition, there was an increase in cases involving gastrointestinal symptoms: gastroenteritis among children under 2 years of age (+9%, or +25 cases) and adults aged 75 and older (+11%, or +12 cases), vomiting among children under 15 (+13%, or +27 visits) and acute abdominal pain among 2- to 14-year-olds (+11%, or +46 visits).
Among other indicators, there was an increase in procedures for viral syndrome (+9%, or +42 procedures) in children under 15, as well as for anxiety in children under 15 and adults aged 45–64 (respectively +31% and +9%, or +8 and +25 procedures).
