Key Points
In Week 29 (July 14–20, 2025), compared to the previous week, activity at SOS Médecins clinics increased by 6% among adults (a rise of 3,335 visits) and remained stable among children.
Compared to the previous week, the number of cases increased for insect bites across all age groups (+17%, or 240 more cases), heatstroke in small numbers among those aged 15–74 (+13 cases), and general malaise (+13%, or 36 more cases), and among adults for allergies (+7%, or 59 more cases), asthma attacks (+8%, or +36 visits), and conjunctivitis (+8%, or +37 visits among 15-74-year-olds).
The overall increase in activity among adults is also driven by:
respiratory indicators: upper respiratory tract conditions (+6%, or +575 visits) among those aged 15–74, bronchitis (+12%, or +172 visits), suspected COVID-19 (+30%, or +151 visits), and pneumonia among those aged 75 and older (+29%, or +77 visits);
trauma among those aged 15–74 (+11%, or +293 cases),
procedures for isolated fever among those aged 15–74 (+25%, or +69 procedures),
procedures for depressive disorders (+14%, or +41 procedures).
It should also be noted that the most common conditions among those aged 75 and older are mostly on the rise, particularly for deterioration of general health (+9%, or +31 procedures), heart failure (+16%, or +25 procedures), urinary tract infections (+9%, or +25 visits), and low back pain/sciatica (+12%, or +34 visits).
Among children, there was an increase in procedures for chickenpox in children under 2 years of age (+28%, or +31 procedures) and impetigo in children aged 2–14 (+21%, or +65 procedures).
