Key Points

In Week 04 (January 24–30, 2022), total activity at SOS Médecins clinics remained stable across all age groups for the second consecutive week. After one week of stability and one week of increase, procedures for suspected COVID-19 are down (for the first time since October 2021—Week 40). In total, 7,359 cases (vs. 8,950 cases in Week 03) were recorded (a decrease of 18% vs. an increase of 8% in Week 03 and 1% in Week 02). These cases are down across all age groups except among those aged 75 and older, where a slight increase is observed with moderate numbers (+7%, or +13 cases). Suspected COVID-19 remains among the most common conditions in children (3rd) and adults (2nd). At the regional level, procedures are stable or declining in all metropolitan regions and in Martinique. Since monitoring began on March 3, 2020, 315,067 medical procedures for suspected COVID-19 have been performed. Seasonal indicators show little fluctuation and are, for the most part, at levels consistent with or lower than previous years. Medical procedures for influenza/flu-like syndrome are stable across all age groups (+4% among children and -7% among adults). Three indicators are rising more sharply across all age groups: trauma (+14% across all ages), fainting spells (+29% across all ages), and bronchitis (+17% among those aged 2–14 and those aged 75 and older).
