Key Points
In Week 04 (January 20–26, 2025), activity at SOS Médecins clinics continued to rise among children aged 2–14 (+13%, or +3,841 visits). It remained stable among children under 2 and among adults.
Cases of influenza/flu-like illness are on the rise across all age groups (+20%, or +4,783 cases): they now account for 30% of cases among children (higher than in the previous three years) and 27% among adults. Among 2- to 14-year-olds, compared to the previous week, other respiratory indicators also continued to rise, though less markedly: acute bronchitis (+27%, or +299 cases), pneumonia (+51%, or +112 cases), upper respiratory tract conditions (+15%, or +1,636 cases); and among children of all ages for asthma attacks (+17%, or +69 cases).
Among children, among the other indicators tracked, there was an increase in cases of viral syndrome (+12%, or +81 cases) and chickenpox (+50%, or +51 cases) among 2- to 14-year-olds, and, among children under 2, for isolated fever (+14%, or +24 cases), vomiting (+24%, or 12 visits), and diarrhea (+10%, or 7 visits).
Among adults, there was also an increase in cases of vomiting (+6%, or 20 cases) and acute gastroenteritis among those aged 75 and older (+17%, or 23 cases).
