Key Points
In Week 02 (January 5–11, 2026), the first week back to school, activity at SOS Médecins clinics remained stable among children aged 2–14 and decreased in other age groups compared to the previous week.
Among respiratory indicators:
After two weeks of decline, the number of visits for influenza/flu-like illness increased in Week 2 among children aged 2–14 (+23%, +766 visits). However, it decreased among adults during the first week (-15%, or -2,074 visits).
All other respiratory indicators were stable or declining across all age groups.
Among the other indicators showing an increase this week, we note a rise in cases for:
Gastroenteritis in children (+47%, or +842 visits) and vomiting in children (+57%, or +116 visits) and in those aged 15–74 (+15%, or +36 visits);
