Key Points

In Week 51 (December 15–21, 2025), activity among SOS Médecins associations increased compared to the previous week for those aged 75 and older (+10%, or +666 procedures) and remained stable in other age groups.

Among respiratory indicators, there was an increase in cases, with numbers at levels comparable to or lower than those of previous years, for:

  • All ages: influenza/flu-like syndrome (+35%, or +5,562 cases, representing 23% of activity across all age groups).

  • In adults: pneumonia (+21%, or +235 cases) and asthma attacks (+8%, or +75 cases).

  • Among those aged 75 and older: acute bronchitis (+17%, or +105 cases) and upper respiratory tract conditions (+13%, or +101 cases).

Among other indicators, there was also an increase in medical procedures:

  • Among those aged 75 and older for malaise (+55%, or +18 procedures), vomiting (+23%, or +10 procedures), isolated fever (+21%, or +10 procedures), dehydration (+100%, or +15 procedures), as well as for low back pain/sciatica (+12%, or +28 procedures).

  • For infectious conjunctivitis among children under 2 years of age (+7%, or +22 procedures) and those aged 15–74 (+7%, or +27 procedures), as well as for chickenpox across all age groups (+6%, or +31 procedures).
