Key Points

• In Week 17 (April 22–28, 2024), the third week of the Easter school break, activity at SOS Médecins clinics declined among children (-9%, or 2,590 fewer visits) and remained stable among adults.

• Indicators were, for the most part, stable or declining across all age groups.

• However, there was a continued increase in cases of chickenpox among children aged 2–14 (+16%, or +107 cases) and, although at lower levels than in previous years, among adults aged 15–74 (+23%, or +11 cases). Procedures for viral meningitis also increased across all age groups (22 procedures in S17 vs. 11 in S16).

• There was also an increase in procedures for ENT conditions among children (+14%, or 52 more procedures) and in procedures for isolated fever among adults (+11%, or 33 more procedures).
