Key Points

  • In Week 16 (April 14–20, 2025), due to school holidays, activity at SOS Médecins clinics decreased overall among children aged 2 to 14 (-16%, or 3,087 fewer visits) and remained stable in other age groups.

  • Among adults, there was an increase in cases of urinary tract infections (+13%, or +237 cases) and conjunctivitis (+11%, or +59 cases). Among those aged 75 and older, there was a significant increase in procedures for several conditions: fainting spells (+78%, or +29 procedures), heart failure (+27%, or +43 procedures), deterioration in general health (+10%, or +25 procedures), bronchitis (+17%, or +62 procedures), pneumonia (+15%, or +49 procedures), and respiratory tract conditions (+7%, or +22 procedures). Among those aged 15–74, procedures for dental conditions and various ENT disorders also increased significantly (+11%, or +162 procedures).

  • Finally, among children under 2 years of age, asthma attacks increased sharply (-44%, or +29 visits), as did viral syndromes (+11%, or +10 visits) and episodes of diarrhea (+11%, or +9 visits).
