Key Points
In Week 15 (April 7–13, 2025), SOS Médecins’ activity increased compared to the previous week among children under 2 years of age and adults aged 75 and older (+7%, or +366 visits, and +6%, or +370 visits, respectively), while it decreased among those aged 2–14 (-8%, or -6,785 visits). It remained stable among those aged 15–74.
In all age groups, with the exception of children under 2 years of age, there was an increase compared to Week 14 in consultations for allergies (+18%, or +500 visits, exceeding figures from previous years for the same period) and insect bites (+23%, or +64 visits).
Among children under 2 years of age, compared to the previous week, there was an increase in medical procedures for gastroenteritis (+10%, or +55 procedures), diarrhea (+14%, or +10 cases), and vomiting (+17%, or +10 cases), as well as for bronchitis (+35%, or +51 cases) and isolated fever (+38%, or +60 cases). Furthermore, among children under 15 years of age, there was an increase in medical visits for chickenpox (+38%, or +116 visits), though at levels lower than those observed in previous years.
Among adults, there was an increase in medical procedures for anxiety (+6%, or +78 procedures, at levels higher than in previous years), depressive episodes (+14%, or +36 procedures), and, to a moderate extent, for COVID-19 (+15%, or +34 procedures). There was also an increase in medical procedures among those aged 15–74 for asthma attacks (+11%, or +76 procedures) and among those over 75 for trauma (+18%, or +56 procedures), falls (+9%, or +14 procedures), and upper respiratory tract conditions (+16%, or +46 procedures).
